It is a sunny and fresh October day in Pollensa and there are people sitting in the outdoor cafes in the main square and down the cobbled side streets, sipping coffees and reading the paper. Cyclists love training on the Tramuntana Mountain roads in September and October, as it's cool enough to exercise. And couples without children, not constrained to school holidays, and older retirees, often choose to visit now.
Is is also a good time of year to buy and sell your house. It's mainly down to the weather. The summer is baking hot, much too hot for hard work, even in the form of house viewings. Besides, a lot of the public administration offices function on limited staff and half day working hours during July and August.
